Action Mapping Project
Our nonprofit youth insight partner, the award-winning Action Mapping Project (AMP), is prepared to coordinate with schools in your region. Where a park district sponsors AMP locally — as Peninsula Parks has — that youth insight comes with it, so you can see which young people play where, and what they want to do there.
A spatial survey of your parks
Residents draw on a map: the parks they use, the ones they avoid, where they feel welcome, and what they wish was there. Every drawing carries a story, and every story is attached to a place — so "we need more for teenagers" lands on a specific park rather than in a comment box.
Secondary Data:Census ACS, Crime, Sidewalks…
Parks don't have the tidy vector data transit does, so we start from open parks and open-space boundaries and attach context to them: who lives within walking distance, what the streets around the park are like, and the conditions that decide whether people can actually get there.
Impact Hub:From every park to the one that needs you
The Parks Impact Hub scores every park in your system, then narrows to the ones worth acting on — the park with the lowest play score, say. From there a Parks Hub goes deep on a single park: who lives nearby, the conditions around it, and what visitors said about it.

Action Map Youth Survey & Insight
All spatial prompts yield insight in the form of at least one longitudinal indicator. Indicators are used to evaluate routes, stops, and areas inside an Impact Hub. For each prompt, respondents are asked to draw points, lines, or outlines and to then share a story.
